VENUE: Renberg Theatre, Los Angeles LGBT Center
PERFORMANCE: Friday, October 23, 2026
REHEARSALS: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings beginning September 15
TECH: Week of October 19
COMPENSATION: Unpaid artistic opportunity
The Production Stage Manager will serve as the primary stage management lead for the production, working closely with the Director, Production Manager, Associate Stage Manager, actors, designers, and Producers.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing and maintaining the rehearsal room
• Creating and distributing rehearsal schedules and daily calls in collaboration with the Production Manager
• Maintaining the prompt book and all production paperwork
• Tracking blocking, props, costumes, scenic and technical needs
• Preparing rehearsal and production reports
• Facilitating communication between the artistic and production teams
• Coordinating with the Director and Production Manager regarding production needs and concerns
• Leading stage management operations during tech and dress rehearsals
• Calling the performance and overseeing backstage operations
• Maintaining a safe, professional, collaborative, and respectful working environment
COMMITMENT
table read & Design Presentations: Tuesday, September 15, 6-10 PM
Rehearsals: 6-10 PM on September 17, 21, 22, 24, 28, 29; October 1, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15
Some rehearsals will run until midnight.
Production Meetings: Mondays at 5 PM via Zoom
Tech Week: Week of October 19 - attendance required throughout tech
Performance: Friday, October 23, 2-10:30 PM
We're looking for a highly organized, communicative, collaborative, and calm stage manager who enjoys working on new and ambitious theatre projects. Experience with small-budget or independent theatre is a plus. We especially value stage managers who are proactive communicators, comfortable solving problems, and excited to help build a positive rehearsal and production environment.
This is an unpaid artistic opportunity.
