Bethesda Repertory Theatre is seeking a Hair & Makeup Artist to join the production team for Witch by Jen Silverman, directed by Jada Godwin, at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre.

This is an unpaid artistic opportunity.

The Hair & Makeup Artist will collaborate with the Director and Costume Designer to develop practical, repeatable hair and makeup looks for the production. Responsibilities include reviewing the script and characters, developing looks, preparing necessary materials, applying or overseeing hair and makeup during tech and performance, and providing clear instructions so actors can maintain their looks consistently. Cleanliness, hygiene, and actor safety are essential.

Commitment
The primary commitments are Thursday, October 22 from 2-10 PM and Friday, October 23 from 2-10 PM. Some preparation and communication with the Director, Costume Designer, and Production Manager will take place beforehand as needed.

Budget & Supplies
Bethesda will provide an approved production advance for necessary hair, makeup, and related supplies. The Hair & Makeup Artist will work with the Production Manager to establish anticipated needs and costs before purchases are made. Production funds are separate from compensation, and receipts will be required for purchases.

You'll receive professional production credit and the opportunity to work directly with the Director, Costume Designer, actors, and production team on a full theatrical production at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. You'll gain hands-on experience in a professional production environment, build your résumé or portfolio, connect with other LA theatre artists, and become part of Bethesda's growing artistic community, with potential opportunities for future collaboration.
