Full Time Job
The Research Analyst will be responsible for the generating compelling consumer insights about the African American Consumer to drive BET Networks.
Responsibilities:
• Support research needs of the Brand Strategy, Programming, Marketing, and Scheduling with ad hoc requests and special projects
• Create thoughtful and innovative audience insights in order to strategically position and distinguish our networks in the marketplace
• Assist with execution and analysis of custom research projects to support specific business questions
• Build/Maintain databases to track and organize relevant Internal and External stats including market-intelligence, competitive positioning/analysis, industry trends
• Develop materials and presentations suitable for company wide distribution
• Work with programming to understand consumer needs that will drive new programs for BET
• Work with Marketing to evaluate on-air and off-air promotions/advertising
• Draw insights from primary and secondary sources to establish value of BET Networks to advertising partners
• Represent the fan to help drive a fan centered culture at BET
• Keep on top of Industry trends and key consumer insights
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong analytic thinking, collaboration skills and operational discipline
• Evidence of ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and translate findings/results in a clear concise manner
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask
• Show potential to grow within the network and company
• Strong interest and knowledge of current trends related to Black culture, media and entertainment
• Pluses:
• Role or internship with national cable, streaming or broadcast network or major CPG company
• Experience developing data-driven consumer insights and/or market-intelligence research
• Experience working with media and syndicated tools (i.e. Nielsen products, MRI, comScore, Netbase, Google Analytics, Qualtrics, Triton, ART19, Adobe Analytics, Tableau and similar syndicated tools)
• Related college degree (Psychology, Marketing, Statistics)
