Full Time Job
Reporting to the VP of Ad Sales Insights for BET Networks, the Manager will be a creative thinker responsible for supporting the ad sales research needs of the BET family of brands for our sales teams and for supporting key research projects and initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide research support to sales team in order to fulfill ad hoc insight requests for BET/BETher/BET Digital / BET Experience
• Utilize syndicated databases (MRI, YouGov, Mintel, Nielsen) to craft strong consumer stories to drive revenue with the sales department
• Collaborate with Ad Sales Analytics to utilize cross-platform viewership data (linear, digital, and social) to create thoughtful and innovative audience analyses in order to best position and distinguish our networks in the marketplace
• Contribute to innovative thought leadership pieces that advance the business and maintain our brands’ position as the with the African American and urban audience
• With VP and Ad Sales Analytics team, conduct advertiser effectiveness studies on behalf of clients
• Present consumer-focused research, as well as data-driven research, to internal and external clients
• Leverage the BET fan panel to drive rich insight for the BET sales team
Basic Qualifications
• 4 years’ experience in media or consumer research; knowledge of African American adult consumers a plus
• Related college degree
Additional Qualifications
• Strong story telling with proven background in translating data into insights and insights into stories that influence decisions
• Ability to solve problems strategically and think creatively
• Strong collaboration skills in a complex organization.
• Knowledge of syndicated data tools (MRI, YouGov, Kantar)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Has a pulse on the African American culture
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and multitask
