Bentkey Ventures (Daily Wire) is looking for a Broadcast Engineer who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of all broadcast-related equipment. The Broadcast Engineer will also provide technical support to ensure the quality production and transmission of both audio and video. You will also be directly involved in facilitating the transfer of media after shoots. If you feel you are the right fit for this position, we look forward to hearing from you!
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor studio productions to ensure technical quality
Set up gear, streaming, and encoding for all shows
Work alongside Director of Production, Show Producers, Studio Manager for podcasts
Prepare computers, monitors, control room configuration, broadcast gear, and live streaming services for live video and audio content
Maintain and update recording gear, playback and graphics computer systems, servers, streaming hardware, and software to ensure all are in working order
Research and install new gear and production software as productions change and new projects are added
Facilitate the transfer of media after shoots as dictated by Director of Production
Maintain and organize digital assets for projects including back ups of media, building out server organization for new projects
Set up and update each show in the Ross Ultrix router for efficiency changing between programs
Assist technical team members in the configuring of new broadcasts and shows across the production gear, often adjusting to the needed format and style
Organize and input a variety of daily assets, including video and image graphics, for live show recordings
Work with Studio Manager and Show Producers to execute guest appearances for other networks
Support Show Producers, Studio Manager, and Director in show operations
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Requirements:
2+ years of similar work experience in a professional production environment
Working knowledge of Ross Video products including but not limited to: Ultrix, Xpression, Graphite, and Carbonite
Experience setting up web-based live productions including using: production switchers, IP network gear, routers, and graphics
Understanding of audio/video and ethernet routing
Basic camera-operating skills required
Basic editing skills required
Familiar with Adobe Premiere workflow
Reports to: Director of Production
Start date: Immediate
Employment type: Full-time; Exempt
Compensation: Dependent upon experience
