Lead / Packaging Producer - Prestige Indie (50% Financed)

We're seeking an experienced Lead Producer / Packaging Producer for a prestige independent feature designed for the Sundance/Cannes Film Festival circuit.

This is a precision-budgeted project with 50% of financing already secured, built around strong performances and elevated production value. Think: Buffalo '66, The Wrestler, Marty Supreme (scaled down), Half Nelson

What's in place:
• Completed script
• Director attached
• Lead actor attached (emerging talent, think young Robert De Niro / Steve Buscemi)
• 50% financing secured
• Defined production plan focused on high production value within a controlled budget

What we're looking for:
• A producer experienced in lean, high-quality indie packaging
• Ability to close remaining financing after name actor attachment
• Strong relationships to attach recognizable cast in the ~$50K-$250K range, with a focus on talent that enhances marketability and sales potential
• Experience positioning films for festivals and distribution

Offer:
• Producer fee (scaled to budget/experience)
• Backend participation (meaningful share, negotiable)
• Additional incentives tied to financing and/or key cast attachments (EP / Producer credit possible)

The goal is to create a film that punches above its weight creatively and commercially, with a clear path to festival exposure and sales. If all works as planned, your ballpark earnings will be 25-50k, plus backend participation.
