Project Manager
Barbizon's Systems Division located in New York, NY specializes in the Design and Integration of Lighting and Rigging Systems for broadcast facilities, theaters, educational institutions, themed environments and a wide variety of other facilities.
Barbizon Electric New York is looking for a Project Manager who can work within the construction community and coordinate the installation of theatrical lighting and rigging equipment for permanent installations.
Responsibilities include working with customers and manufacturers to execute contract work, coordinate deliveries, layout system designs, review construction documents, track progress and attend/coordinate jobsite meetings.
Required Skills Include:
- Strong technical theatre or studio background
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows
- Valid driver's license
- CAD skills and construction experience a plus
The perfect candidate for this position holds a BS, BFA or MFA in Technical Theatre, Engineering, or related discipline, or commensurate vocational experience. The ideal candidate should also have experience with Stage and Studio and/or Construction industries and a working knowledge of the equipment and its applications.
