Part Time Unpaid Internship
Internship Start Date/Season: Mid-April to Mid-July 2024
Internship Duration: 3 months
Time/Days Required: ~5 hours per week
Workplace Requirements: 100% remote
Here at BarBHouse, we pride ourselves on bringing the indie spirit to genre filmmaking with a focus on horror and action. We are a dedicated group of professionals that are passionate about film and the creative process that comes along with it!
We are looking for a Development Intern to join our team REMOTELY. Professional experience is not necessary, but the ideal candidate must have drive and practical knowledge on writing and assisting in all tasks, which will include: Weekly script coverage/proofreading, creating content for social media, creating newsletters, performing industry research, and performing additional administrative tasks.
We also want our interns to feel like an integral and important part of the team so they will also be invited, and encouraged, to join weekly staff meetings where they will get the opportunity to interact with everyone on the team.
This internship is REMOTE but will require twice monthly meetings with the head producer via ZOOM.
Responsibilities:
- Read screenplays and write comprehensive script coverage.
- Create basic pitch decks, one-pagers, and newsletters through Google Slides and MailChimp.
- Create a blog of weekly releases and new trailers for the website
- Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends in production.
- Monitoring and managing the company's social media platforms, ideas, and feedback while tracking subscribers/adjusting outreach tactics as needed.
- Assist with daily administrative tasks.
- Expected commitment of 5hr/week but ability to work more if desired.
- Attend weekly meetings.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing/reading skills are a must.
- General knowledge and interest in film/television.
- Google Suite/Excel/Word Proficiency.
- Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
- Must be detail-oriented and have a ''can-do'' attitude.
- Strong communication and verbal skills.
- Outstanding multitasking abilities.
- Self-starter/time management skills since you'll be doing work on your own time.
DURATION: MID-APRIL TO MID-JULY
