Banjiay Americas' – 2025 Summer Internship Program
Company Name: Banijay Americas
Location: Glendale, CA and North Hollywood, CA
Duration: 8 – 10 weeks, from May 2025 to August 2025 (start and end dates flexible based on department availability and school schedule)
Compensation Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience and education; benefits ineligible
Hours Per Week: 20-40 hours per week based on candidate and department availability

Internship Overview: This 8–10-week paid internship offers hands-on experience in unscripted television through mentorship and practical learning. Interns will be placed with one or more departments at Banijay Americas and/or its affiliates based on interests, skills, education, and career goals. Available departments include Development, Digital & Social Media, Production, Finance, Business & Legal Affairs, and Post Rights & Clearances.
Eligibility Requirements:
• A matriculating undergraduate student in at least their 2nd of a 4-year program or an in-coming graduate student. Proof of enrollment for the 2025 fall semester required
• Must be able to work 20 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in-person at the specified office location.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must submit a cover letter expressing areas/departments of interest along with a resume or CE

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Excel)
• Some departments may require specific degree enrollment and skillsets.
Available Departments and Responsibilities:
Development
Responsibilities:
• Conduct research, source footage for sizzle reels, and summarize findings in clear reports.
• Assist with outreach efforts, including contacting potential interview subjects.
• Contribute to pitch deck development and general research.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate and refine creative concepts.
Additional Skills
Preferred:
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills for creating compelling summaries and pitch materials.
• Proficiency in Keynote, Photoshop, and AI tools like Midjourney for presentations and visual concepts.
• Experience with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere for basic video editing.
Digital/Social
Responsibilities:
• Edit videos and create thumbnails.
• Engage with online communities and manage interactions.
• Stay up to date with reality TV trends and pop culture.
• Monitor social media platforms and adapt content strategies accordingly.
Additional Skills
Preferred:
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Adobe Premiere.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, their trends, and algorithms.
• Ability to analyze social media trends and articulate insights effectively.
Production
Responsibilities:
• Assist with various production tasks based on the current filming schedule and department workload
• Support pre-production planning, including organizing schedules, scripts, and call sheets
• Help coordinate logistics for shoots, such as location details and equipment needs
• Assist with on-set tasks as needed, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Track and organize production documents, receipts, and reports
Finance
Responsibilities:
• Assist with monthly reporting and forecasting to track financial performance across multiple business units
• Contribute to variance analysis, comparing actual results against budgeted projections
• Support the annual budgeting process by gathering data and preparing financial models
• Analyze financial data to provide senior management with timely and insightful reports for business decision-making
Additional Skills
Preferred:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and understanding of iPivot Tables, Lookups, and SumIfs
• Understanding of financial reporting standards (US GAAP and/or IFRS)
Legal
Responsibilities:
• Assist in drafting development and production agreements, including format option agreements, option purchase agreements (for books, articles, etc.), amendments, and extensions
• Prepare merchandising license agreements, including drafting licenses, amendments, and legal correspondence
• Support the music licensing process by drafting master and synchronization licenses, amendments, and related agreements
• Assist with vendor agreements, including drafting contracts, amendments, and extensions
• Conduct legal research as needed
• Provide general administrative support, including contract organization, document tracking, and filing

• Strong interest in entertainment law and intellectual property
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
Post Rights & Clearances
Responsibilities:
• Review episodes to ensure all content meets legal and clearance requirements
• Assist in obtaining clearances
• Search for and organize archival materials for use in productions
• Perform simple redlining of releases and other legal documents
• Help track and manage deliverables, including blur lists
• Organize and maintain release forms and other legal documentation
Additional Skills
Preferred:
• Currently enrolled or planning to enroll in law school (preferred but not required)
• Ability to take direction well and work independently
• Interest in entertainment law
