is seeking a Senior Scripted Coordinator to provide creative and administrative support to the SVP of Scripted Development.
We are looking for a creative, strategic, and administratively adept person who thrives in a highly collaborative environment but who can also work autonomously. Candidates must have superb organizational skills, an eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of the industry, and a desire to continue to grow in scripted television.
The Senior Scripted Coordinator will have the opportunity to work on everything from reading books and scripts, participating in creative meetings, and researching and generating new concepts for development. Additionally, the role allows you to build relationships within the entertainment industry and will prepare you for a career path as a TV Development Executive.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide creative input, script analysis, notes, and coverage for new material submitted for development consideration and/or in various stages of development.
• Track, solicit, evaluate, and procure scripted programming for development including fielding pitches and scouting potential IP (books, comic books, etc.) to option and develop; identify new creative partnerships for Endemol Shine North America.
• Liaise and engage with industry professionals and build relationships with external stakeholders (agents, managers, studio/network executives, writers, producers, directors) as a representative of Endemol Shine North America.
• Generate and maintain submission, pitch, and coverage logs, staffing grids, development reports, status reports, writer and director lists, competitive tracking, relevant intellectual property avails, and other documents and databases.
• Create decks and presentations for pitches.
• Support packaging efforts across scripted TV slate by creating director, writer, producer, and talent lists for new projects in development. Spearhead outreach to obtain attachments on projects.
• Identify and track the creators and future show runners and actively pursue business with them.
• Answer phones, manage calendars, schedule meetings and conference calls, make travel arrangements, handle expense reports, and perform various other administrative tasks.
• Consistently maintain an organized filing system for all project information.
• Manage key information on series in production (schedules, key dates, casting, etc.).
• Keep the scripted team informed of trade news, position changes, announcements, and hot topics.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 4 years hands-on scripted TV development experience, including prior agency, management, production company, studio, and/or network experience.
• Possess contacts within the TV & film community including network execs, managers and agents, filmmakers, writers, producers, and production companies.
• Nuanced grasp of audience tastes and trends across fan affinities, generations, and mindsets. Tapped into the social and cultural zeitgeist.
• Working knowledge of the marketplace, buyers, talent representatives, and executives particularly across the scripted series space.
• Strong grasp of story, structure, and genre fundamentals; experience in script analysis, providing notes (written and verbally), and writing coverage.
• Experience identifying unique voices, break-out material, or ideas at early stages.
• Exhibit a positive, proactive, resourceful, and adaptable attitude, combined with strong emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
• Passionate, curious, and discerning consumer of TV, film, pop culture, art, literature, and media.
• Adept at quickly learning new processes, technology, and ability to assimilate oneself and become familiar with existing systems.
• Experienced in creating charts, decks, and one sheets that are visually appealing for pitch purposes.
• Must be highly motivated and possess strong networking skills.
• Attention to detail, strong organization, and problem-solving skills are a must.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to anticipate needs and execute time-sensitive matters.
• Team-oriented and able to communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels.
• Able to work independently when needed.
• Ability to handle administrative tasks quickly and with an extremely high degree of accuracy.

Salary/Benefits
$60,000.00 - 70,000.00 per year
