Job Title: Manager, Inside Sales

Job Summary:
The Baltimore Orioles are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager of Inside Sales to develop and lead the Inside Sales team. The Manager of Inside Sales will be tasked with recruiting, hiring, training, managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of competitive Inside Sales Representatives. The Inside Sales team plays a crucial role in driving revenue across various ticketing products, including season tickets, group tickets, hospitality offerings, and suite sales.
This leadership role will also involve creating and executing sales strategies, optimizing performance, and fostering a high-energy, results-driven culture. The Manager will collaborate closely with the Ticket Partnerships team and across departments, including Ticket Operations, Marketing, and Ballpark Operations, to ensure the organization meets and exceeds revenue goals while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives, setting clear performance expectations and providing continuous coaching and feedback to enhance sales performance.
• Recruiting & Hiring: Identify the needs of the organization by developing job descriptions, actively recruiting, interviewing and evaluating candidates, and onboarding new hires, ensuring a strong and effective sales team.
• Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to maximize revenue, targeting new and existing clients through season ticket memberships, group ticket sales, suite rentals, and special promotions.
• Sales Training & Development: Design and execute training programs to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and CRM utilization. Mentor and motivate staff to meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Pipeline Management & Lead Generation: Oversee lead generation efforts (cold calling, email outreach, networking) to ensure a healthy pipeline. Utilize CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients to enhance retention, renewals, and maximize long-term business.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze sales data, metrics, and team performance to identify trends and areas for improvement. Present regular sales reports to leadership and adjust strategies as needed.
• Facilitate Regular Meetings: Conduct weekly team and individual meetings to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly goals are being met. Utilize the one-on-one meetings to coach and address any areas of improvement.
• Communicate Effectively to Leadership: Communicate regularly with the Director of Business Development and senior leadership to ensure the alignment of sales goals and strategies.
• Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with other departments such as Marketing, Fan Engagement, and Operations to ensure alignment of sales goals, fan engagement, and event planning.
• Event Support & Execution: Support the execution of sales initiatives and promotional events, including game-day promotions, group outings, and corporate events.
• Customer Service Excellence: Address client concerns promptly and provide top-tier service to ensure exceptional customer experience.
• Team Motivation & Recognition: Foster a culture of success, healthy competition, and team spirit through activity contests, regular team meetings, and recognition of top performers.
• Flexibility & Availability: Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support events, maintain strong client relationships, and meet team objectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, particularly in ticket sales or sports-related sales.
• Proven leadership and management experience with a track record of achieving sales targets.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top talent for a sales team.
• High-energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional with a passion for sports and entertainment.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• Strong strategic thinker with the ability to analyze sales data and adjust tactics for maximum impact.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms (such as Microsoft Dynamics), sales analytics tools, and presentation software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to adapt to different audiences in relation to the needs of the customer and/or employee.

The anticipated salary for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience, annually plus commission.
