Baked Studios is seeking Jr. Finisher / AE to join our award-winning team. As a Jr, Finisher /AE, you will utilize your skills and creativity to conform, color prep, and finish projects for commercial, feature films and episodics.
Job Discription:
Prepping approved spots for out-of-house finish by exporting AAF's, EDL's, QuickTime references, OMF's, XML's, etc.
Creating deconstructed stringouts by removing any effects and speed ramps from shots.
Overcutting sequences with final picture and sound. Reading and comprehending finishing memos and deliverable spec sheets, and creating final documents.
Requesting finishing assets from our graphic designers, audio mixers, and AEs. Pulling plates for our internal VFX team. Checking the QuickTime reference against the cut twice. Performing quality control on all final slates, video footage, graphics, and audio tracks.
Job Requirement
Capable of working in a fast-paced, small team environment. Organized and extremely detail-oriented. Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid,Davinci Reslove, Final Cut Previous experience as a professional Assistant Editor. Excellent at managing time and planning accordingly to meet tight deadlines. Understanding of frame rates (23.98p, 29.97p, 29.97i, 59.94p, etc.), timecode (drop frame, non-drop frame), aspect ratios (1.33, 1.78, 1.85, 2.39), resolutions (1280x720, 1920x1080, 2K, 4K).Knowledge of digital video codecs including ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 4444, H.264, DNxHD, Photo JPEG and bit rates (ex: 6Mbit/s vs 100Mbit/s).
General knowledge of color grading.
Experience with video conversion tools (QuickTime Pro, Apple Compressor, Adobe Media Encoder) and understanding of the .mov and .mp4 wrappers. Ability to troubleshoot potential A/V digital media issues or problems.
Understanding of basic editing concepts/creative editorial.
