Full Time Job
Awesomeness is looking for a full-time Production Equipment Manager to oversee its busy equipment department. The department processes dozens of in-house equipment orders each week for our multichannel network, providing the company with the tools they need to make our content. The job is fast-paced and team-oriented.
Job Duties:
-Schedule and oversee small team of tech assistants, including scheduling weekend hours
-Occasionally hire short-term freelance contractors
-Coordinate with line producers, rental houses, and sale vendors via email, phone, and in-person
-Oversee equipment reservation and rental processes, and ensure policies and procedures are followed
-Create, implement, & enforce policies and procedures
-Ensure regular quality control of gear
-Process L&D and bill expenses to responsible parties
-Tag and ingest new equipment purchases
-Oversee and maintain various in-house sound stages
-Make necessary purchases for the Tech Cage and sound stages
-Stay up-to-date with applicable technology and make purchase suggestions based on the company's needs
Job Requirements:
-2+ years of experience managing a team
-Experience working in a rental house, college equipment department, or similar business circulating rental items
-Able to do occasional overtime and weekend hours
-Familiarity with digital cameras (such as DSLRs, ENG cameras, etc.), audio equipment, and grip/electric gear
Ideal Candidate:
-Exceptional email etiquette
-Detail-oriented
-Good team-player with strong interpersonal skills
-Thrives in a fast-paced environment
-Experience with equipment tracking software (such as Filemaker, DBWorks, R2, Webcheckout, etc.) is a plus, but not necessary
