Avatar is seeking a motivated and hardworking legal intern who is either a law school grad, waiting on bar results, or has passed the bar. You must have a burning desire to work in the entertainment business. This internship will offer you more experience than you could ever gain at any other industry internship! Our legal interns have gone on to work for Paramount, Warner Bros., Universal Television, Davis Shapiro, Skadden Arps, and other major companies. As of October 1, 2021, this internship is virtual, meaning you don't have to physically be in our office in Los Angeles - you can work from wherever you live.
Below is a testimonial from two of our former legal interns:
''Avatar is a great place to learn the practice of entertainment law. From the variety of legal issues, to the fast moving projects, to the great people you work with, you'll learn a ton of useful information in a fun and casual environment. This is the way entertainment law should be learned -- from the ground up, with just enough responsibility to build your confidence without overwhelming you.'' - Walead Esmail, Esq.
''Avatar is where you go to get real hands-on experience. You're not there to take drink orders or stuff envelopes with t-shirts. You have an opportunity to work on real business affairs matters including strategizing, negotiating and drafting within the highly competitive entertainment industry. The experience is immeasurable but trust that it will make your resume stand out from the rest.''
-Lana Youash Safoian, Esq. Former VP at NBC Universal
Please note the following:
1. This internship lasts as long as you like... typically interns stay with us more or less than 4 months.
2. Time commitment per week is approx. 10 hours.
3. Due to Covid, as of now you can work 100% from your home.
