Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Lead User Experience (UX) design for small to complex, large-scale projects
• Work directly with Business Leaders to translate business requirements into process/navigational flows and user interaction models
• Plan, coordinate and conduct user research, contextual and ethnographic studies, participatory design and usability testing
• Create process flows, annotated wireframes, design prototypes, and functional specifications. Review them with business owners and technical team and obtain approval.
• Design and extend SASS platform to integrate the user experience seamlessly with existing content and further enhance services
• Work in an agile-based team environment with good organizational abilities and a minimum of department supervision
• Ability to generate prototypes of varying fidelity
• Design and maintain the platform design system and component library.
• Work directly with lead engineers and PM to understand technical limitations in order to provide design solutions.
• Work with front-end engineers to provide design reviews, feedback, and direction.
• Define and enforce the visual design of the platform.
Qualifications
More About You:
Required:
• Minimum 3 years in user experience design. Added plus: 1-3 years graphic design experience, or development experience.
• Experience with Agile, scrum-based process integrating with Tech dept., working directly with engineers to develop and document functional expectations
• Curious and not afraid to ask questions, strong communication skills and comfort with presenting design ideas and solutions to a team.
• Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with SASS and web based applications.
• Online portfolio that demonstrates experience creating interaction design for complex web and mobile applications. Added plus: online design portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills, data visualization and dashboard design, and ability to work within established branding directions.
• Experience developing wireframes and Functional Specifications documentation; proficiency with wireframe/ prototyping tools (InDesign, Figma)
• Expert knowledge of design software (Adobe Creative Suite/ Photoshop/ Illustrator)
• Well-versed in Usability Best Practices
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a Communications or Design-related field)
