Audacy’s TWIN division is in search of a Traffic Operations Manager for its Midwest Region. This is a role that requires qualified candidates to be able to effectively lead a team of on-air reporters, adapt to change, embrace innovation, manage multiple competing priorities on a routine basis and be able to respond to issues and concerns as they occur on a 24/7 basis.

1) Expertise in leading or working within broadcast traffic or news operations
2) Leading an operations function, ideally during a period of high growth or turnaround
3) Experience developing and redesigning processes and reporting
4) Operational analysis
5) Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and parallel many competing priorities
6) Cross functional team leadership and participation, hands on approach
7) Project management proficiency & effectiveness
8) Business insight and judgment with exceptional follow through
9) Proactive communicator regarding obstacles and progress
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Scheduling
• Managing staff and meetings
• Daily Staff Engagement
• Managing Time Off
• Payroll
• Aircheck sessions / Broadcast Quality Control
• Managing Off Peak Coverage
• Regional Leadership Oversight – Detroit, Minneapolis & Cleveland, with potential to add markets
• Assist in the Detroit Traffic Operations Center when needed
• Work with Public Safety and Law Enforcement to foster and grow relationships that aid incident data collection on Traffic incidents contributing to broadcast reports
• TWIN Ad operations / Integration projects, Local & National sponsor initiatives
• TWIN Leadership work (budget composition / managing expenses)
• Weekly Leadership meetings
• Innovation projects
• Managing technical & ENG issues
• Social Media/Digital - integration, metrics & growth
• Working closely with Sales on specs, initiatives and projects i.e. Ford Tech Tour, Winter Jam
• Understanding and working per the terms of the TWIN AFTRA collective bargaining agreement
Qualifications
More about you:
Required and Preferred:
• Minimum 5-year traffic or news reporting for broadcast media
• 2-4 years’ experience as a manager of a Traffic and/or Newsroom operation team
• Knowledge of Detroit, Minneapolis and Cleveland geography a plus
• Must have a knowledge of Social Media and a mastery on growing a digital presence
• Must be computer literate, have excellent oral & writing and presentation skills
• Must be able to master budget worksheets using Excel and Google Sheets
• Must be proficient in audio editing software
• Must be helpful in the traffic & news gathering operations
