We’re looking for a sharp, fast, and fearless Morning Drive Newswriter to join our dynamic radio newsroom. This is your chance to craft compelling, creative content that cuts through the noise and keeps listeners hooked. This is an intense writing environment that requires speed, focus, creativity, and attention to details.
The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $54,742.98/Yr. -$94,008.29/Yr.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Write and update engaging, concise scripts
• Thrive under constant deadline pressure
• Collaborate closely with editors and on-air talent to create seamless, high-energy shows
• Conduct and edit interviews when needed
• Flag any content concerns for editors or management to ensure compliance with FCC and station policies
• Tackle related newsroom duties with urgency and attention to detail
Qualifications
Required & Preferred:
• A drive to write fast, clear, and creatively while meeting deadlines
• A team-first attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills
• Major-market experience in news writing
• Deep knowledge of NYC is a big plus
• Must be a member of (or willing to join) the Writers Guild of America
