Overview:

WIP-FM is seeking to invest in the future generation of sports media by creating an internship in honor of Ray Didinger , WIP radio personality, sports commentator, author, and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

This internship will provide coaching, mentoring, and peer support, among other great benefits. This is a six (6) month structured job assignment that will provide career development, access to sports media resources, and professional networks to develop your skills, provide hands-on training from the experienced WIP content team, while ultimately preparing you for career advancement opportunities within our team and the industry at large.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Learn to screen calls during local shows.
• Learn to edit relevant video and audio sound bites for on-air use.
• Research broadcast topics while collaborating with hosts and producers on show content.
• Post podcasts and other post-show digital responsibilities as needed.
• Contribute to content to be shared on social media.
• Assist in the preparation of on-air promotions and contacting prize winners.

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:
• A rising college junior or senior, or less than one year removed from college graduation.
• Experience running a soundboard.
• Experience using Adobe Suite editing applications like Audition and Premiere Pro.
• Dependability and punctuality are a must.
• Must be available for varied shifts in daytime hours.
