Overview:
Audacy is seeking a talented and inventive Mid-Level Solutions Engineer to join our forward-thinking Technology & Innovation team. This role is not only about optimizing processes—it is about creating entirely new capabilities, intelligent tools, and audio experiences, and seeing them through to execution. Ideal candidates are both visionary and delivery-focused: individuals who love to ideate with stakeholders, prototype and invent; then, demonstrate the discipline and drive to build, operationalize, and scale their creations in real-world environments.
In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of AI integration, automation, and technology, identifying opportunities to build solutions that streamline operations and deliver novel capabilities to the business. You’ll collaborate across the organization—engineering, data science, product, and business stakeholders—to transform concepts into scalable prototypes and systems that have meaningful business impact.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the cutting edge of audio, automation, and AI inside a fast-moving media company focused on the future of listener and creator experiences.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Create, Build & Deliver New Capabilities: Design, prototype, and fully implement AI-native tools, intelligent automations, and new technical experiences that support both internal innovation and external value.
• AI/ML Integration: Collaborate with data scientists to incorporate models into workflows using technologies like Generative AI APIs, NLP, and predictive analytics.
• Solution Design: Identify high-leverage areas for automation and intelligence, create robust solutions, and iterate from concept to deployment.
• Platform Development & Integration: Build and maintain APIs and data connections across systems to support seamless automation and next-gen functionality.
• Commercialization Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to co-create technologies that can evolve into commercial capabilities or prototypes.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Write clear implementation documentation and ensure others can maintain and build on your work.
• Cross-Functional Teaming: Translate ambiguous ideas into clear technical roadmaps in collaboration with analysts, product owners, and operational teams.
• Support & Continuous Improvement: Provide post-launch support and refinement, contributing to best practices in development, security, and compliance.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5–7 years of experience in software development, solutions engineering, or a related technical role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, or C#) and experience developing solutions from the ground up.
• Experience with RPA tools and custom scripting.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and hands-on experience integrating with platforms like Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, or similar.
• Familiarity with leading Generative AI tech stacks from Google, OpenAI, and Salesforce.
• Experience with cloud environments (GCP, AWS) and modern API development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: curious, inventive, and comfortable designing in unstructured spaces while being focused on delivering results.
Preferred:
• Experience with enterprise systems relevant to media (e.g., CRM, ERP, scheudling and traffic systems, digital audio distribution, and broadcast technology).
