Job Summary: The Event Operations Intern supports the planning and execution of events within a large-scale arena environment, working closely with the operations team. This role provides hands-on experience within event operations supporting concert, NBA and smaller arena event management.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with preparation of events including event outlines, production notes, staffing estimates, and operations timelines.
• Support the setup and execution of sporting events, concerts, family shows, and special events.
• Participate in arena setup by assisting with layout changes, equipment movement, and readiness checks.
• Conduct pre- and post-event facility walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with arena standards.
• Shadow Event Operations staff during large scale events
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a degree in Event Management, Sport Management, Production, Hospitality, Business, or related field (or comparable experience).
• Interest in arena operations, live event production, and large-scale event logistics.
• Comfortable with physical tasks, working in busy environments, and being on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable event schedules.
Education and Experience:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited HBCU College or University as a rising Junior and Senior
• Field of Study: Digital Marketing, Event Management, Finance, Business, Communications, Hospitality, Analytics, and Sales
• Minimum 2.75 GPA
