The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club will be looking for passionate team players to participate in our 2018-2019 Trainee Program. The program is designed to give top candidates real-life experience in the sports and entertainment industry, in addition to providing educational and networking opportunities. Any qualified applicant who has a college degree with a Bachelors or Masters is eligible to apply for the Atlanta Hawks Trainee Program. Trainees may have additional game day/event responsibilities (depending on department assignments). Trainees are paid $13.50/hour and overtime if applicable. Trainees are benefit-eligible after 30 days (medical, dental, vision).
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Assist in posting employment opportunities
• Schedule job interviews between candidates and hiring managers, communicating with them via email and phone
• Support coordination of company events
• Assist in pre-hire process, running background checks, creating offer letters, sending out new hire checklist, and scheduling new hire orientation
• Provide basic administrative and filing support to all Human Resource functions including Payroll and Benefits
• Provide assistance to Benefits and Wellness programs as directed including Open Enrollment
• Assist with reception area coverage as needed
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple responsibilities, and apply good judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Exemplary client service skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and interact with all levels within organization
