This position will play an important role in ensuring that our People & Culture are fully supported with the appropriate process, tools, and metrics. Your knowledge of people data and business context will enable you to provide action-oriented analyses to ensure our People & Culture organization, and our business partners, are well-informed and able to make thoughtful, data-driven people decisions. This role is responsible for optimizing information technology systems and business processes in support of effective, reliable, and high-value HR services that meet the needs of The Atlanta Hawks. The primary function of the role is to oversee and manage HRIS configuration, and to assess, identify, and implement new technology platforms to meet tactical and strategic HR objectives. The position leverages innovative solutions to improve client experience and deliver expert technical assistance in utilization of HRIS software.
The People Technology and Operations Partner provides guidance to the HR team at both the process and policy level, and is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system issues, monitoring system performance, answering end-user questions, and developing new and improved procedural mappings and training documentation.
The role includes a wide variety of work, from fulfilling ad-hoc data requests, building and maintaining dashboards, designing and building tools to automate work, managing projects, to providing data-driven insights. In addition, the incumbent will be a key driver in the development and ongoing oversight of our company intranet to support the Atlanta Hawks team members communication needs, as well as the formation of a functional data warehouse which will serve as the data repository for all HR reporting and analytics.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about a variety of processes and get to interact with stakeholders in different teams within the Atlanta Hawks organization.
Job Duties
• Primary point of contact for managers and employees to understand HR systems and technology
• Conducts workshops and scoping sessions with respective client groups to better understand business requirements
• Provides consultative guidance on matters relating to current Workday or deployment of new HR technology
• Project management of building and implementation process for all HRIS integrated software
• Performance of testing on all HRIS integrated applications prior to Acceptance Testing to ensure compliance with Functional and Performance Specifications
• Coordination of User Access Testing for all HRIS related applications
• Create project documentation including project plan, scope documents, processes and procedures and User Accepting Testing scripts
• Provide training resources on HR Technology to supplement client training programs
• Work collaboratively with leadership to grow the Atlanta Hawks capabilities for reporting, dashboards, and predictive analytics.
Required Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience working with HR systems and analytics
• Experience with Workday HCM, Timekeeping, Absence Management, Performance, Recruiting, Talent and/or Advanced Compensation, SharePoint
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of HR business processes, HR data, HR systems and their inter-dependencies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in solving problems and identifying recommended solutions
• Ability to document processes, interfaces and data flows
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to establish working relationships with team members at all levels in the organization
• Ability to effectively manage confidential information
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and technology
• Ability to work in a challenging business environment demonstrating flexibility by managing numerous priorities
• Results oriented, highly motivated, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner
