Game Operations Assistant

The Game Operations Seasonal Assistant role will assist in the planning and execution of Atlanta Hawks game nights and special event activations. The Game Operations Seasonal Assistant will assist in the brainstorming, planning, and execution of theme nights, entertainment performances, and in-game contests. This position includes both in-office and game day responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Assist in planning entertainment and activations for all Atlanta Hawks games and special events such as Meet the Team, Million Meal Pack, Watch Parties, and Membership Events
• Aid in script writing and editing
• Assisting with research of innovative ideas to improve and enhance game operations elements
• Act as a stage manager on game nights, focusing on contestant selection and administrative elements such as waiver processes and prizing distribution
• Deploy and maintain props and special effects, including Cryo (CO2) Equipment
• Assist in the orientation of team members and in maintaining standard operating procedures
• Act as a liaison with the group sales and membership teams
• Oversee parking, credentials, and early access lists for security staff
• Maintain cleanliness of arena storage space
• Assist with video production for elements to be used on gameday
• Support entertainment teams as necessary

QUAL IFICATIONS:
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience (internships included)
• Available to work various hours, including nights, weekends , holidays , and all Atlanta Hawks home games
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in Game Operations
• Highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, quick learner
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CO2 equipment preferred
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• The ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
