Trainee, Brand Creative - Hawks Studio

True Trainee Program Summary:
Here's your chance to experience a bold and dynamic organization firsthand. The Atlanta Hawks & State Farm Arena will be looking for passionate team players to participate in our 2021-2022 True Trainee Program. The program is designed to give top candidates real-life experience in the sports and entertainment industry, in addition to providing educational and networking opportunities. The program dates are September 2021-May 2022.
A quick summary about the Brand Creative - Hawks Studio Trainee role:
The Trainee role will have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally through mentorship and hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a professional sports and entertainment franchise. Trainees will work directly with the Brand Creative team to help with everything Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena-related, from team brainstorms to social design, to multichannel campaign production and more.
What the Brand Creative - Hawks Studio Trainee will be responsible for:
• Social content design, game day/night social design support, production support for multi-channel campaigns, photo retouching, logo design, advertising
• Production Support: Reformatting approved key art, versioning assets, photo resizing, and content swaps and adaptations
• Creative Support: Clipping out players, pulling photos, photo tagging, design/trend research, basic photo retouching, internal decks, and one-sheeters
• Social support: Templated design, game day/night design support, keep up to date with social trends and emerging features and innovations
What the Brand Creative Trainee needs to have:
• Post Grad (recent college graduates within 24 months of graduation).
• Academic and/or Work experiences related to Graphic Design, Creative Arts or Marketing.
• A digital portfolio is required for consideration.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Ability to execute consistent designs aligned with existing style guides, brand standards, and processes
• Understanding of graphic design composition, typography, photo retouching, logo design
• Working knowledge of contemporary design, pop culture trends, emerging technology, photography and digital landscape in general. Knowledge and passion for sport is a plus!
• Ability to develop and articulate a design concept and demonstrate creative thinking with a clear design process/strategy
• Cares deeply about the quality of their work with a desire for improvement
• Ability to maintain discretion and protect confidential information
• Must be organized, creative, enthusiastic, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
• Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed, and demonstrate initiative.
• Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
• Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
• Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.

• $15.00/hour plus overtime

Relocation Information:
• Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the Trainee. (Please note, this role must live and work out of the Atlanta, GA area.)
