Responsibilities
/Duties:
• Serve as the primary liaison with Atlanta Hawks Global Partnership representative(s) to coordinate administrative duties, communication, scheduling, and operational logistics of community basketball program activations at Global Partnership events.
• Serve as a liaison with Atlanta Hawks Ticket Sales and Member Service representatives to support activation and functions of community basketball programs inclusive of Hawks game ticket and/or fan experience assets. (Ex. Jr Hawks Leagues presented by Adidas, Jr Hawks Summer Camps presented by Adidas, Global Partnership All-Access premium events at State Farm Arena and Hawks Practice Facility at Emory campus)
• Support department leaders with operations management, brand presentation, onsite team member communication, customer service, and client relations at Hawks Community Basketball events, programs, and activations.
• Assume the role of a ''lead coach'' responsible for curriculum implementation at Atlanta Hawks Community Basketball Programs and Hawks Basketball Academy events (Ex. Jr Hawks Camps presented by Adidas, Hawks Basketball Academy clinics, Lady Ballers Program, Hawks at Home, Jr NBA programs)
• Provide administrative, operational and activation support for the Atlanta Hawks Coaches Clinic presented by Adidas. (Inclusive of; client registration process, premium item orders, premium item distribution, content capture, talent hosting, guest experience, and client services)
• Generate event recaps, inclusive of participation and impact reporting data, for community basketball programs affiliated with Global Partners and Hawks Foundation. (Ex. Adidas, Gatorade, Microsoft, Ken Nugent ''Score for Scholarships'')
• Serve as a primary host for internal and/or external ''talent'' at Hawks Community Basketball Program events (Ex. ''talent host'' for Hawks players, coaches, alumni, and external talent)
• Administrative and operational duties, as assigned, to support Atlanta Hawks community basketball programs and events.
• Administrative and operational duties, as assigned, to support Atlanta Hawks CSR Department and Hawks Foundation partnership initiatives and events. (Ex. State Farm Community Assist Centers, Hawks Foundation Court Renovation Ceremonies, NBA Cares Program, Community Donation fulfillment)
• Administrative duties, as assigned, to support marketing campaigns and brand communication for community basketball programs.
• Primarily responsible for Nike Game Growers Program activation, coordination of partnership assets and program recap.
• Support Community Basketball Programs departmental management with internal and external communication to (12 ) global partners, (2500) Hawks Basketball Academy clients, (4000 ) Hawks at Home subscribers, and (20 ) community/facility partners
• Primarily responsible for the coordination of site visits affiliated with Atlanta Hawks community basketball programs, events, and activations.
• Administrative duties, as assigned, to support departmental management with premium item and equipment orders, team member uniform orders, brand asset inventory management, event activation logistics, team member communication, warehouse management, and Hawks vehicle fleet event transportation.
• Administrative duties, as assigned, to support departmental management with data entry, impact reporting and youth metrics tracking affiliated with community basketball programs.
• Operational and administrative duties as assigned to support 50 community basketball activations.
• Administrative duties as assigned to support content management of Hawks Basketball Academy and Hawks at Home websites.
• Operational and administrative duties as assigned to support the growth and development of Hawks at Home virtual programs and client resources.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, and/or relevant field required
• Master's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
• 2 to 4 years of prior event management and marketing experience with a track record of leading large-scale basketball events and/or programs is required
• Previous experience playing, coaching, and/or management experience within the sport of basketball is required
• Extensive operational experience coordinating camps, tournaments, coaching clinics, and managing basketball events is preferred
• Prior experience with a professional sports team is preferred
• Must possess strong communication and leadership skills; excel at building and maintaining professional relationships
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, exercise and coordinate multiple daily tasks and meet deadlines is necessary
• Highly organized, with attention to detail throughout all job responsibilities, is necessary
• Experience in corporate communications, ticket sales, and/or partnership relations is preferred
• Must possess a team player attitude with the ability to effectively communicate direction to personnel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and customer service skills required. MUST be comfortable and versed in public speaking
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) is required
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
