Full Time Job
The Dream are seeking a candidate for this nine-month position as Basketball Operations Manager. This position assists with the day-to-day needs of the basketball team and reports into the Assistant Coaches with dotted-line to the Head Coach.
This is a position that requires physical labor and lifting of large objects and assisting where necessary to benefit the team. Travel may be required as well as working nights, weekends and holidays. In this position, the incumbent would oversee, but is not limited to:
* Travel coordination, working with third-party travel agent on flights, buses, hotels, itineraries for the team and individuals.
* Coordinate with practice facility times for practice/shootaround for us and opponents; Set up and tear down equipment each day and team laundry.
* Oversee all team equipment and team gear; serving as a liaison to league clothing manufacturer.
* Helps to coordinate all housing needs of the team and staff upon arrival and departure to the City.
* Move in and out game day equipment in team arena.
* Work with visiting team or organize practices and game day needs including locker room, equipment and F&B.
* Coordinate Ball kids' responsibilities
* Help facilitate athlete public appearances, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential element at a high level. The employee must also have the following qualifications:
Experience/Education/Skills:
* College Degree (Sport Marketing/Business/Marketing ideal) with 3 years of practical experience in basketball operations
* Attention to detail is critical
Other Skills/Competencies:
* Strong organization and strong communication skills
* Ability to properly prioritize and multi-task
* Must be able to work with many different personality types
* Be comfortable working in an intense and fast paced environment
* Time management
* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
* Self-motivated and results driven
Physical Requirements:
* Able to work all home games including nights, weekends and holidays
* Able to stand for extended periods of time
* Lift heavy objects up-to and over 50lbs.
Environment Work Conditions:
Working in multiple facilities and traveling to/from office.
