The Atlanta Dream is a professional Women's Basketball Team based in Atlanta Georgia and is a place where our team, our fans and our great city come together to represent the community we seek to serve. Position Overview: The Corporate Partnerships (CP) Intern position will assist the CP department with building and executing a strategy to build long term partnerships with the corporate community. This strategy consists of maintaining and growing current partnerships and identifying new opportunities. .
In this role, the CP intern will provide key support to the day-to-day operations of executing and fulfilling contractually bound programming and asset management. The CP intern will also help identify, research, schedule and brainstorm new business opportunities by monitoring both Atlanta and Sports business news, industry trends, and category evaluation. This person will need to have a combination of the following skills: advanced verbal and written communication; limited graphic design; familiarity with professional sports marketing; and an entrepreneurial, go-getter mindset to think independently and outside the box. The candidate will also need a flexible schedule to be able to attend Atlanta Dream home games and events.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with calendar management/planning, and incorporation of new CRM program
• Understanding and familiarity with existing partner agreements, contacts and deliverable assets
• Assist in scheduling upcoming execution – both at games and events
• Responsible for helping the CP team monitor sports business news – trends, new deals, corporate activity, etc.
• Understanding of WNBA top categories and unsold assets
• Collaborate with operations, content, marketing and comms teams on execution of assets
• Coordinating the creative review process for new pitch decks and sales primer information which includes storytelling and positive metrics (ratings, valuations, attendance, social media #'s, etc.)
• Represent the Dream in the community at possible events, networking, festivals, etc.
• Assist with in-arena set related to partnership activation – signage, promotions, contests, etc.
Required Skills:
• Interest in Sports Sales and Marketing
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Available for entire 2022 Dream season and all home games
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Great teammate
• Strong communication and computer skills
Must be fully vaccinated or willing to be.
This is not a remote position.
$15/ hour
Position reports to Sr. VP of Corporate Partnerships & Community
