The At Home With Didiayer brand is currently seeking an on-location story writer who can also double as an assistant and work closely with our show host for a minimum of six months during the production of the upcoming season - Travel With Didiayer.
This person must have a balanced personality. They are someone who can take direction and deliver on time. The candidate must be able to travel freely without any restrictions and hold a current passport. This person is someone who wants to advance their writing career - and happy to serve as a personal creative production assistant to Didiayer and her brand. Above all else, we are looking for someone that the team can trust, who's drama free, is professional, and discrete.
NOTE: The candidate needs to understand that the AHWD team is an eclectic tribe. The most important members of this unique team are 9-year-old Savanna and 5-year-old Olivia. All team members understand their importance and know that their well-being is at the forefront of every shoot they are involved in. This means you will be working with both girls on location from time to time. Your ability to be kind, caring and understanding of their presence and involvement in the show is paramount in this role.
Candidate must have a minimum of two years of writing and article/blog experience in travel and cuisine. Be able to write articles, stand-ups, and voice over in a timely fashion, and perform other duties needed such as collecting release forms, sharing on-location images via the AHWD social media platforms, and other production-related duties.
PRE-PRODUCTION DUTIES
Research companies and businesses as requested to produce featured articles per segment.
Write opening stand-ups for each segment and story content.
Manage three episodes at a time, and be able to take outlined episodes and create stand-ups, and VO content for each segment.
Send out release forms to companies for signature. (To be picked up at each location).
PRODUCTION DUTIES
Make sure that the host has all the needed stand-ups and related questions the night before every shoot.
The writer needs to be on set documenting the stories by taking photos on their iPhone that can be used for posted required articles.
Make sure that the host looks and sounds great on set!
Dress appropriately on-set and be able to interact with clients professionally.
Assist with daily production management schedule.
ON-GOING
Post articles on the AHWD website.
Share article links on social media platforms.
Inform clients that their articles are live.
Manage the AHWD newsletter.
Researching and creating content for future episodes.
