Search for Music Department Coordinator jobs in Hollywood-CA
This role provides administrative and workflow management support to the Music department. This allows us to give excellent customer service and expert advice to our clients. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the music industry, and client service, and is detailed oriented to join our team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with set-up and organization of department workflow including searches and large scale projects.
• Responsible for re-record requests, sheet music requests, lyric requests, and Stem requests and other large scale or ongoing requests.
• Through data collection, develop insights to the music needs of clients.
• Create music usage reports, playlists and music searches as needed.
• Responsible for maintenance of the sheet music archive, lyric archive, stems database as well as other spreadsheets and databases pertaining to Music Department Assets.
• Monitor & manage requests from third party systems (Music Link, Source Audio, etc.) including setting up search cases, re-formatting search playlists for distribution via third party system.
• Assist in the management and review of composers and libraries.
• Assist individuals submitting content to our internal libraries (Endgame, SLX, Driven, APMC).
• Review and manage metadata and library portal submissions for specialty catalogs
• Assist with QA testing for new website features.
• Additional duties as assigned
Experience/Skills Required:
• Working knowledge of general cultural and musical styles and eras, plus good familiarity with current music styles and artists.
• Excellent customer service skills, strong and positive working relationship with internal and external clients.
• Prior project management experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
• Detail oriented and self-motivating.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
• BA/BS degree preferred with at least 1 - 2 years' experience in a professional or corporate environment preferred.
