Summer Intern - Development

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Internship Start Date/Season: Summer Internship, Beginning Early June
Internship Duration: 10 weeks
Time/Days Required: 2 days (14 hours) a week
Workplace Requirements: In-Office

Assemble Media, a New York based production and IP-creation company, is seeking interns for SUMMER 2024. This position will be an in-person internship. Interns will gain valuable experience with script coverage, project development, social media marketing, film financing, and film/television production, as well as publishing, book development, and book-to-film processes. The office is truly collaborative and interns will get hands-on experience in all of these worlds. Strong writing ability, a positive work ethic, and a willingness to learn and develop new skillsets is required. This internship is for school credit, your school must provide proof of credit in order to be accepted into this internship We will not accept submissions or inquiries over the phone.

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled college student
• Passionate about pursuing a career in film/television production and development OR publishing
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite
• Highly organized
• Pro-active
• Team player

Responsibilities
Script and novel coverage, and giving notes on in-house scripts
Research on contemporary book comps in the publishing industry
Writing loglines for short stories
Tracking top box office trends and Amazon bestselling trends
Research for internal projects
Helping with list creation of potential writers/directors for projects
Database maintenance
