ASPECT, an award-winning North Hollywood based Motion Picture Advertising Agency, has an immediate opening for a HR Manager with a passion for movie trailers to join our team while we are working from home and beyond! As the SR. HR Manager, you will be an advocate for our people, their growth, mentorship, and our culture. You will lead the projects of implementing and maintaining programs and initiatives
designed to guide employee learning and engagement, recruitment and retention, organizational health, cross-department collaboration, and keeping momentum in our culture. Although we are currently temporarily remote, candidates must be based in Los Angeles in the long term.
Duties include:
• Work closely with leadership and department heads on initiatives and goals including
mentorship, talent management, and learning and development opportunities
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the company's core values to enhance culture and to better identify talent
• Guide compensation and benefits
• Work with the Director of Culture to lead and create diversity and inclusion initiatives that demonstrate a commitment to creating an environment for the open exchange of ideas, perspectives, and experiences from people of all backgrounds and interests.
• Administer benefits program; assist with execution of Open Enrollment and benefit management
• Be a resource for employee questions regarding medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits
• Work with the finance team to update and maintain employee information including salary increases, title changes, and employee updates
• Provide support during the employee life cycle including onboarding/offboarding and conducting new hire orientation and exit interviews
• Upkeep of all HR related documents & policies including researching and assisting with drafting and updating company policies, personnel files and COVID related guidelines
• Be a trusted resource for internal conflicts - advise employees regarding concerns or workplace disputes
• Manage full life cycle recruitment process - from job posting, to interviewing, offer extension
• Review resumes and application submissions, work with hiring managers to identify top candidates, schedule and coordinate interviews, and coordinate with external recruiters as needed
• Work closely with leadership to oversee staffing plans
• Cultivate a deep knowledge and understanding of core competencies for all roles in order to assist with career growth and recruiting needs
• Create an open line of communication with employees to better understand future goals and career paths of each individual
Abilities:
• Great communication skills, in person as well as virtually
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive information with tact
• Solutions oriented and able to prioritize responsibilities to work efficiently
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
• 5+ years prior experience within an HR generalist role and/or People department preferred
• Has worn numerous hats in their career working with people - be it in a marketing agency or elsewhere, and brings a proactive, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and authentic ''whole-self'' approach to their work
• Is professional and discreet, thereby earning the trust of all levels of employees
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently; ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests
• Excellent written and verbal communication with superior interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Adept at problem-solving; being able to identify issues and proactively resolve with a strategic mindset
• Experience interacting and working directly with C-level leadership and department heads
Must be a dependable self-starter who's able to think on their feet and problem solve, have
good phone etiquette, be detail oriented, creative, flexible, level-headed, a team-player, and
have a strong interest in Motion Picture Advertising and Movie Trailers. As part of our new
policy, new hires will need to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide verification of
vaccination upon starting.
