Job Description
Job Description:
The VP of Financial Planning & Analysis will play a critical role in driving the growth and transformation of our organization. In this role, you will work as part of our Accounting & Finance senior leadership team, partnering with the CFO and Controller, providing financial planning and advice to support our long-term business goals and strategy.
This is a newly established role.
Responsibilities
• Manage daily financial planning and reporting activities, including executive management reporting and financial budgets & forecast
• Manage and grow a team of accounting and finance professionals, providing strategic direction, day-to-day work management, and career path development
• Keep current with external/internal market & competitive trends
• Drive process improvement practices; including implementation of a new financial planning software
• Monitor and track operating costs and revenue drivers
• Work with upper management to establish key business metrics, forecast results, and create a robust reporting platform
• Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department
• Create and update financial models and board presentations
• Review individual business segment budgets and forecasts and perform analyses to determine variance in results
• Work on special projects in coordination with CFO, Controller, and other members of senior management
Qualifications
& Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field is required.
• MBA preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a mid to senior finance role with an emphasis on FP&A
• Demonstrated executive – level management skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across departments and represent the Accounting & Finance department in executive settings
• Strong presentation skills and proficiency in MS PowerPoint (or other presentation tools)
• Strong financial and data modeling skill-set and excellent analytical skills
• Public company experience preferred, but not required
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate as needed
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
• Knowledge of the music industry beneficial
