DESCRIPTION:
Overview of Role:
The Director, Program Manager – Distribution, under the supervision of the SVP, Distribution Innovation, supports cross-departmental oversight for the ASCAP royalty distribution cycle and helps ensure continuous operational alignment, risk management, and process optimization throughout the cycle.
This is an office-based role.
Responsibilities:
Below is a representative (not exhaustive) list.
• Stakeholder Management
• Facilitate delivery of necessary tools, processes, role descriptions, and documentation for cross-departmental teams to successfully complete their tasks and deliver consistently.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Manage expectations and build consensus among stakeholders with varying interests and perspectives.
• Risk Management
• Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and manage risks and issues.
• Problem-solve, innovate, and find practical solutions to risks or issues proactively and efficiently.
• Should escalations or issues arise, support triage efforts to ensure timely resolution.
• Communication
• Build strong relationships and rapport across teams to understand their business challenges and guide them on best practices and paths to success.
• Support development of communication plans and regular status updates to stakeholders to manage expectations and communicate timely and relevant information.
• Process Optimization & Innovation
• Collaborate with the Product and Project Management Teams on distribution-related discovery and project planning to promote successful operationalization of that team’s recommendations and deliverables.
• Collect data, interview stakeholders, and map workflows as needed to drive successful planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of the distribution cycle.
• Help design the framework, processes, playbooks, and toolkits within which the distribution cycle and all related processes are planned, managed, and completed.
• Maintain and operationalize the distribution cycle RACI analysis and ensure that all stakeholders are identified and aligned on roles, responsibilities, accountability, schedules, and milestones.
• Leverage third-party tools to manage, monitor, and optimize distribution cycle processes.
• Assist with the establishment of metrics to measure the effectiveness of processes and continuously monitor performance to identify further opportunities for improvement.
• Support annual and periodic reviews of processes and documentation as needed.
• Implement feedback loops and processes to implement continuous improvement.
• Continuously monitor the distribution cycle from start to completion, including deadlines, milestones, dependencies, and processes.
• Analytics & Reporting
• Efficiently extract insights and translate them into actionable optimizations.
• Leverage data to drive process improvements and decision-making.
• Generate reports and socialize them in a standardized and meaningful manner to provide transparency.
• Determine and establish Key Performance Indicators to ensure that status and progress can be measured and reported effectively across the distribution cycle.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• MBA/Advanced degree is desirable.
• Experience:
• At least 8 years of experience in business, operational, or program/project management, including being accountable for delivery of program/project-wide milestones.
• Strong knowledge of process analysis/improvement and program management frameworks and methodologies.
• Track record of participation in corporate-wide process improvement/program management/change management efforts is preferred.
• Analytical Skills:
• Strong research, data gathering, analytics, and reporting capabilities to drive improvements and influence data-based decision-making.
• Communication Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate convincingly and effectively (verbally and in writing) across stakeholders.
Salary/Benefits
$150,000.00
