Remote Film Industry Internship Opportunity
About the internship program:
Interns get assigned to a job category in the film industry to research a list of topics. Interns then present their research to the Company. Lastly, we connect interns with veteran filmmakers in the desired job field to present and validate the data. Veteran filmmakers have a minimum of 10 years of experience having been nominated or received an Academy and/or film Award. Interns graduate from the program with the veteran award nominated or recipient filmmaker as their mentor in Los Angeles. Must have an interest in the film industry. This is a research internship program. Must have your own laptop computer. Students welcome - credit is available.
We seek passionate and creative individuals that want to learn more about the creative and business side of the industry. Internships are available for Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Interns will conduct research for the Company's internal film/tv/media default operating systems created for the film industry. Our team will train and guide the right individuals that join the internship.
College Credit is available.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct public online research on desired job field in the film industry
- Assist with entertainment data-related research
- Assist with special in-house projects
- Minimum 15 hours/week (or must be available at least 2 full days per week to intern)
- Attend creative company events and gatherings in LA (per COVID guidelines, if permitted)
- Commitment to building an inclusive work environment
Background / Skills:
- Students with a class standing of sophomore or above (preferred)
- Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude
- Strong interest in the film and/or entertainment industry
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently and be a multitasker
- Strong organizational skills, with high attention to detail
- Independent thinker and self-starter
- Creative thinker with strong development skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Solid writing, excellent verbal and communication skills
- Computer Savvy, comfortable working with MAC or PC
- Must be able to work on your own laptop
