Producer, Video Production
Job Purpose:
The individual will work collaboratively with the production team to produce video content for in-game entertainment, social media, internal departments, and other related productions. Strong creative and communication skills are necessary to adjust to the organization’s needs.
Primary (Essential) Duties:
• Conceive, write, produce, shoot, and edit both short-form and long-form content for digital media, social media platforms, and the videoboard.
• Tell creative, visual stories that connect fans to the franchise and engage the fan base.
• Assist in promoting the team’s Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations, and Ticket Sales initiatives.
• Manage multiple job requests and revisions from different departments under tight timelines.
• Coordinate with the Vice President and Manager to ensure content conveys the desired message while managing various tasks.
• Take ownership of creative projects, ensuring effective interdepartmental communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Support the service-oriented nature of the DBTV Productions department.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Sony DSLR camera operation, script/voiceover writing.
• Knowledge of motion design and relevant production software like After Effects and Photoshop.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• General baseball knowledge required; strong knowledge preferred.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and take responsibility for project outcomes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and attend nearly every home game.
Experience/Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production, Multimedia Journalism, or a closely related discipline.
• 2 years of professional experience in Video Production, Digital/Social media, sports, entertainment, creative agency, or a corporate environment.
Travel, Working Conditions, and Physical Demands:
• Must be able to perform physical tasks related to event setup and use of standard video camera equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Less than 5% travel required.
