This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Intern, Ticket Sales and Services
Are you a self-starting, energetic person looking to break into the highly competitive field of sports sales? Would you like to start with a highly respected international organization that's built around teamwork and culture? How about working in Major League Baseball? If you are a current college student or recent graduate who wants to learn from proven sales and service professionals, then apply now to step onto the field!
Primary Duties:
• Learn all aspects of the ticket sales process
• Assist in the organization and execution of group events, programs and hospitality for the Ticket Sales and Service department
• Assist in the creative concepts of ticket sales promotions: including prospecting, flyers, mailers, website, and other support materials
• Assist with administrative tasks with the Ticketmaster Ticketing System and in-house CRM application
• Help with special events with D-backs Advantage Members and ticket buying prospects
• Game night responsibilities based on schedule of Ticket Sales departmental activities
• Provide superior and professional customer service to clients
• Occasional off-site event responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned
Internship Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a junior, senior, postgraduate student, or within a year post graduation with a preferred major of Sales, Marketing, Advertising or Communications, pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university. (If you do not meet the internship requirements, please do not apply).
• Minimum of 20 hours per week, No to exceed 30 hours a week.
Qualifications:
• Highly-motivated with a desire to pursue a career in professional sports
• Detail-oriented, organized and the ability to multi-task
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrates a positive and personable demeanor
• Open to learning
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred, but not required
• Working knowledge of MS Office software
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Ability to work individually, or as part of a group, all while maintaining what's best for the team
