Lead Producer -- Off-Broadway Production

This is a Part Time Job

We are seeking an experienced Lead Producer to oversee the development, capitalization, and production of a new Off-Broadway theatrical project.

The Lead Producer will have primary responsibility for the business and producing functions of the production, working in close partnership with the creative team, general management, production personnel, investors, and venue partners to move the project from development through rehearsals and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall producing strategy and execution of the production from development through opening.
• Develop, manage, and maintain the production budget and capitalization plan.
• Lead fundraising efforts, including identifying, cultivating, and communicating with prospective investors.
• Coordinate the preparation of investor materials and support the negotiation and administration of investment arrangements.
• Identify and secure appropriate rehearsal facilities and an Off-Broadway performance venue.
• Negotiate and oversee key production-related agreements, venue arrangements, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
• Establish and manage the production calendar, including development milestones, rehearsals, load-in, technical rehearsals, previews, and opening.
• Coordinate with the director, creative team, production manager, general manager, company management, marketing/publicity partners, and other key personnel.
• Maintain financial oversight throughout the production process, tracking expenditures against budget and addressing variances as needed.
• Oversee business and operational planning related to insurance, staffing, payroll, contracting, ticketing, and other production requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of communication among investors, creative leadership, production personnel, and outside partners.
• Identify potential financial, scheduling, contractual, and operational risks and work proactively to resolve them.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have meaningful professional experience producing or managing Off-Broadway, Broadway, commercial theater, or comparable professional live entertainment.
