Job Overview:
We are looking to add a Creative Editor to our team. Our work types vary from online educational courses, to artistic wedding films, to commercial spots, to corporate videos-and our Creative Editors tackle all of them week-to-week.
Archaius Creative Editors are multifaceted in their skill sets, the styles of projects they take on, and also the platform in which they work (Premiere and Final Cut Pro X). This position does not require color grading or audio mixing experience, but they are a plus.
Our management style provides a generous amount of freedom and flexibility, so all members of our team are self-driven, self-directed, able to prioritize and juggle multiple projects, communicate clearly, and participate in collaborative discussions both internally and with our clients. Written and verbal communication has grown increasingly important as we now offer a hybrid work environment with remote and/or in-office equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete editing projects in either Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere Pro depending on the project
- Follow client style documentation in order to achieve unique stylistic standards, brand guidelines, and technical requirements
- Work with Supervisors and clients on project revisions
- Adhere to established internal processes and systems for organizing project files, locating media, and communicating project status
- Meet project deadlines and task hour allotments
Probationary Period:
- Success in this position is contingent on the ability to complete projects quickly (within designated hour allotments) while maintaining quality
- Our probationary period spans the first 3x projects (~30 days) during which new team members are expected to learn our editing workflow, quality standards, and project systems
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 3 - 5 years of video editing with Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
For the highest level of success in this position, applicants must be:
- Creative
- Communicative
- Solution-Oriented
- Self-Motivated
- A Team Player
COVID-19 considerations:
Employees are able to work remotely from home if desired.
