STUDIO ASSISTANT / CLIENT & PRODUCTION SUPPORT

Pay: $20/hr-$26/per hour, depending on experience
Location: Downtown Los Angeles
Work arrangement: On-site
Schedule: Open availability required for early mornings, late evenings and weekends

SERVICE COMES FIRST

The ideal candidate does more than complete assigned tasks. They pay attention, anticipate needs, communicate clearly and look for ways to make each client's experience easier.

Multiple productions may arrive or operate simultaneously, requiring equipment, studio access and immediate assistance. The Studio Assistant must remain professional and welcoming while assessing priorities and switching between studio preparation, equipment support, client service, casting assistance and administrative work.

DUTIES

* Welcome clients, crews, models and talent to the facility
* Provide attentive service and proactively help solve client needs
* Open, prepare and reset studios for scheduled productions
* Coordinate the arrival of multiple clients and production teams
* Prioritize overlapping requests for equipment and studio support
* Assist clients and crews with load-in, orientation and load-out
* Stage, track and organize lighting, grip and rental equipment
* Assist with basic equipment setup and breakdown
* Monitor studio needs during bookings and communicate issues to management
* Move efficiently between studio-floor, front-office and administrative responsibilities
* Answer phone calls and respond to client emails
* Assist with schedules, booking details, records and office work
* Support castings, model bookings and talent coordination
* Assist with talent outreach, availability checks, scheduling and confirmations
* Track supplies and report damaged, missing or malfunctioning equipment
* Complete opening, closing and end-of-day studio checks

REQUIREMENTS

* Positive, helpful and service-oriented approach
* Enjoys interacting with people and supporting creative teams
* Takes initiative and is willing to go beyond the minimum when assisting clients
* Hands-on experience in photography, video, production assisting, studio operations or a related environment
* Working familiarity with common photo, video, lighting and grip equipment
* Ability to prioritize effectively with several active productions
* Ability to switch between a wide variety of tasks without losing accuracy or follow-through
* Strong client-service and communication skills
* Organized, dependable and attentive to details
* Basic proficiency with email, calendars, Google Workspace and data entry
* Able to move equipment and work on foot for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Open availability for early starts, late finishes and weekend production schedules

PREFERRED SKILLS

* Knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other social media platforms
* Experience creating, organizing or publishing social media content
* Familiarity with Claude, ChatGPT or similar AI tools
* Experience with casting, models, talent or production coordination

This position provides opportunities to learn and gain experience across studio operations, photography, video production, equipment rentals, castings, talent coordination and other production areas. A strong Studio Assistant may take on expanded responsibilities and grow into a full-time position.
