We are looking for an experienced VP, Post Production who has a genuine passion for being a part of our mission. This position is located in Los Angeles and will be remote until it is safe to return to the physical office.
In this role you will:
• Lead annual strategic planning for Post Production and drive deliverables and change according to the plan
• Schedules and budgets post on Studio motion pictures with varying cost targets, working independently or managing the movie's post production supervisor.
• Consistently analyze the Post Production workflow and processes and optimize as necessary
• Develop and maintain Post Production operational metrics, including team capacity and efficiency
• Anticipates and prevents complications during production and post and independently resolves conflict, cost concerns, scheduling changes, delivery issues and other post challenges.
• Provides day-to-day leadership of editorial and post staff on films and within the department.
• Proactively identify new and emerging post-production technology solutions and implementations necessary to keep the team on or ahead of trends in Post Production, digital media, remote working capabilities, new media platforms, etc.
• Build strong relationships with external Post-Production vendors as-needed
• Foster an inclusive team environment through performance feedback, coaching & mentoring
• Develops key internal and external relationships, is seen as a credible partner, and maintains relationships with company streaming platforms and Studio Operations to facilitate delivery.
We are excited about you because you are:
• 10+ years relevant experience working in Post Production (sound and picture) for new media, television and/or film. Experience working in unscripted, non-fiction television or documentary preferred but not required.
• 8+ years experience in managing post production teams with a proven track record of keeping delivery schedules on track
• Extensive experience with post production processes, including but not limited to: dailies, editorial, color correction, visual effects, compositing, graphics, titling, sound edit, design and mixing, audio laybacks, localization, digital media, cloud migration, duplication, quality control, etc
