This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Anchor Entertainment is looking for a motivated development & production intern to join our close-knit team. Anchor is an award-winning, full-service production company specializing in developing and producing premium docuseries, feature documentaries, and other non-fiction content for a variety of networks, streaming services and platforms, including HBO, AMC, and Max.
You will work closely with the development team on project research, competitive tracking, creating pitch materials, and general administrative duties. You will also have the opportunity to work across films / series that are currently in production, assisting with a wide variety of tasks including managing production calendars, logging creative assets, and tracking expenses. An ideal candidate will have a passion for documentary filmmaking and non-fiction content, a knowledge of industry trends, and should be an avid consumer of news and pop culture media. They will have a proven track record, strong organizational and research skills, and be eager to learn the ins and outs of the non-fiction film and TV world. Desired applicants must be enrolled at an accredited university for the duration of the internship and must qualify for academic credit. This internship will be mostly remote with the opportunity to work in-person at our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities
• Research for projects that are in development, potential projects, and competitive landscape
• writing coverage and providing feedback on potential new projects
• Assisting in the creation of pitch materials, including sizzle reels and pitch decks
• Managing Google Docs & Sheets
• Managing production calendars
• Expense tracking
• Research on internal company initiatives
• General admin support
Qualifications
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university
• Proficient in Excel, Google Drive, Keynote (Adobe Creative Suite a plus)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research skills
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn
• Ability to both work independently and as a part of a small team
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Basic knowledge of editing software like Premiere Pro and Avid a major plus
Internship Start Date/Season: Fall 2024, flexible start & end date
Internship Duration: Fall 2024 semester
Time/Days Required: Flexible, ideally 2-3 days / week
Workplace Requirements: Must be able to receive college credit for internship, ideally based in Los Angeles
