Marketplace is seeking an editor who will recruit, develop, supervise, and lead a talented, diverse team of journalists across all Marketplace platforms and programs. In this role, you will also build and manage our nationwide network of freelance contributors, identifying strong voices, cultivating new relationships, and guiding high-quality reporting from concept through delivery.
You will collaborate with content partners to assign, edit, and shape stories that help drive the editorial vision for the country’s most widely consumed business and economic news programs. For the reporters you supervise, you will oversee story pitches and assignments from idea to execution—ensuring that everything we produce is accurate, timely, creative, and aligned with Marketplace’s editorial standards. As a newsroom leader, you will also recruit, mentor, train, and support the growth of new Marketplace journalists.
