• Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, approximately 9:00 - 5:00pm)
• Location: Los Angeles, or remote (anywhere within the U.S.A.)
• Compensation: $18.00/hour

Intern, Audio – APM Studios:
Do you love the art of podcast storytelling? Are you passionate about creating audio that resonates with diverse audience? APM Studios is seeking an intern who loves creating and cutting audio and making podcasts that expands the reach and diversity of our audience. One way to bring in new listeners is to make shows that give them not just more of what they love, but a more in depth and personal ''look'' that makes the content more relevant to them. Sometimes this could be behind-the-scenes bonus content. Other times it could be offering audio scenes that didn't make the main feed show. Or maybe it's the intern's take on what will attract a more diverse audience.
This position will work across multiple teams to mine, edit and help write and create the best extra audio that will increase our release cadence and broaden the appeal of our shows to both devoted and new fans.
Key Learning Goals:
The goal of this internship is to provide immersive learning and real-world experience through impactful projects. Our goal for you is to:
• Work with a professional production organization and become a key member of that team.
• Use current content and create new content to help put together regular and bonus episodes for various podcasts, using Pro-Tools and writing skills.
• Become adept at juggling several different assignments and come to understand how to prioritize work for different teams.
• Learn about the podcast business, from how we handle social media to key metrics for downloads and how development of new shows works.
• Learn about the development of new podcasts and pitches.
Responsibilities:
In this hands-on role, you will dedicate your time to the following area:
• Use Pro-Tools to cut audio.
• Use company content management systems to post on websites and platforms.
• Work with specific show teams to help produce and promote content.
• Assist teams with finding guests or experts as needed and conducting interviews.
• Help existing and new podcast series with research, writing, fact-checking, and proofreading.
• Coordinate with social teams and video/animation contractors and employees to help create video versions of content or social media promotions.
• Assist in conforming AI transcripts to be more accurate.

Required Qualifications:
• Enrolled Senior in an undergraduate or Master’s program OR have earned a degree within the last 12 months.
• Experience creating your own production or audio /podcast project either for school or a previous internship.
• Previous work reporting or producing news or other unscripted podcasts or a produced radio program (as opposed to live DJ work).
• Research experience and experience doing interviews.
• Work well in a remote team environment.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, approximately 9:00 – 5:00pm) for the duration of this internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of coursework in audio production and editing.
• Completed college level courses in writing for audio and/or script writing and editing.
• Video editing.
• Audio editing experience on ProTools.
• Social media as business promotion experience.
• Ability to post on websites via a content management system.
• Fiction writing ability.
