Your Role:
This new position guides an integral function at American Public Media Group and will work with their team to unlock digital growth at an enterprise-level in a leading public media organization. The Director of Growth Marketing will spearhead APMG’s growth and acquisition initiatives in paid, owned and earned spaces. They will be responsible for planning and executing strategies that increase the awareness of APMG and drive business growth opportunities.
Expected Compensation Range: $120,500 - $147,300/yr. Exact salary determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure and internal equity.

Position Responsibility:
• Develop, implement, and evaluate growth strategies, primarily in digital spaces
• Collaborate with membership, content, product, and data analytics teams to market to the full funnel and drive growth
• Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of team’s initiatives
• Develop and manage user acquisition and retention strategies
• Work closely with partners in brand marketing, creative and customer service to deliver world-class marketing campaigns and improved always-on experiences
• Oversees A/B testing and multivariate testing to develop experiments, using the results to develop highly optimized strategies for each identified user segment
• Assists executives and/or brand leaders in defining organizational goals and strategic plans
• Manages a team of digital marketers, marketing automation specialists and A/B testing associates
Required Education and Experience:
• A./B.S. degree in a marketing, project management or communications discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Additional postgraduate, professional marketing qualifications would be an advantage
• 12 years of digital marketing experience
• 5-7 years of leadership and management experience
Required Skills

• Proven experience leading in a growth-focused digital marketing role
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and data analysis with an emphasis on conversion marketing
• Excellent leadership and project management skills
• Ability to make data-driven decisions in sync with organization priorities
• A/B testing strategy and execution
• Must be curious and eager to learn, demonstrating openness to feedback and coaching.
• Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential information
• Enthusiasm for our mission and portfolio of programs, products and services.
• Excellent written (English) communication skills and proofreading.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Team player and ability to work effectively with multiple cross-functional groups.
• Quantitative and qualitative data analyses skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
