Paid Intern - Story/Creative

This is a Full Time Paid Internship

Amblin Partners, located in Universal City, CA has a great paid 8 week paid internship opportunity available beginning June 21,2022. Internship will be 8 hours a day Monday through Thursday.
To be considered, candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university, working towards a BA/BS degree preferably with an entertainment focus. Preference will be given to those candidates entering into their Junior or Senior year in Fall 2022 or entering or currently enrolled in a Masters program..
Those that have already completed their college/university studies or those graduating this Spring will not be considered.

Over the course of the internship, intern may experience:
• Attends Story Dept meetings
• Attends Reader meetings
• Helps proofread coverage
• Provides coverage on select materials
• Possibly listen on calls with the readers as they discuss script analysis on the assignment.
• Read a script and give verbal feedback.
• Attend the Friday Book Scout call.
• Read magazine articles and provide a paragraph of analysis
• Attend a 15 minute ''informational'' meeting with all feature assistants
• Watch different short films and discuss if adaptable for feature.
• Search for short films on YouTube and Vimeo that might be worth our attention.
• Research what is trending on college campuses
• Research comedians
• Research popular trends - what is currently popular and why?
• Sit in on exec pitch meeting or notes meeting.
• Assist with special assignments depending on workload
