Amblin Partners, a world recognized entertainment company located in Universal City, is seeking a Legal Assistant. This position requires a minimum of 2 years working experience as a legal assistant at a studio or law firm. We anticipate this position will begin when return to work approvals are provided by the government and approved by the Company.
Job duties will include but may not be limited to the following:
Answer phone calls for a team of attorneys and maintain phone logs
Prepare enclosure letters and agreements for signature
Prepare enclosure letters for payments
Send out rights/development fee payments
Send out rights, writer, producer, director, actor interim and final drafts of agreements and internally distribute
Send follow ups for comments to agreements and originals of signed agreements and update project status reports accordingly
PDF all comments received and signed agreements, save in shared drive and distribute internally
Obtain signatures on final documents, prepare cover letters and distribute
Obtain notarizations as needed
Save various production related files/schedules in shared drive
Create, organize and maintain all filings
Print/save deal memos and create new files
Update project status reports on a weekly basis in prep for weekly staff meetings
Prepare/send production status report weekly
Coordinate with other partners re: status report/bi-weekly status call
Prepare expense reports
Special projects as assigned
