Assistant, Story Department

This is a Full Time Job

Amblin Partners, located in Universal City, has an immediate Assistant opportunity in our Story Department.

An English degree is highly preferred and two years of solid industry experience is required (excluding internships). As this is a busy desk, the ability to multitask and keen attention to detail are critical. As an integral part of the creative team, a desire to turn in your best, error-free work is important, as it will be viewed by all members of the company. This is not a first-desk for someone new to the industry.

The ideal candidate is meticulously detail-oriented, with superior writing/editing skills and a true passion for film and development. Discretion is of the utmost importance, as is the ability to multitask and handle sensitive materials. Please be resourceful and conscientious with a desire for high-quality output. Must be interested in a career as a studio development executive or creative producer. This is not the ideal job for someone who wants to pursue a career as a writer but rather, is an excellent opportunity to see all sides of the development process from the initial material submission all the way through to production.

This position will work on-site 4 days per week and remote one day per week.
