Amazon is looking for a highly creative, analytical and results-oriented Sr. Marketing Manager to help conceive, build and launch new initiatives in our Merch business. This role is primarily responsible for driving awareness, discoverability, and conversion of new artist Merch selection. A successful candidate for this role will be an independent, creative problem-solver with great business acumen, and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while managing competing deadlines. The candidate must also have proven data analysis skills and success increasing customer discovery and adoption of new products, as well as be a passionate advocate for customers. You will have strong marketing, program management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently under time constraints to deliver results. Given the complexity of the role, it will also be important to be operationally strong – managing a large number of relationships, dependencies, and timelines across many teams.
In this role you will:
• Own the strategy, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns that raise awareness of the category and selection from specific artists
• Drive initiatives to make the selection discoverable, including but not limited to browse tree definition, search optimization, working with tech teams to create new placements, and working with technology teams to test new placements across Amazon
• Create and implement testing frameworks, including A/B tests, to optimize creative and campaign targeting
• Partner with external artist teams to build out marketing plans that span across on-Amazon, off-Amazon, and social channels
• Provide insights to drive an informed marketing strategy based on key metrics, historical data, and trend reporting
• Use analytical insights to create actionable strategies that will help increase effectiveness against marketing goals
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years of marketing experience
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Relevant experience working in an apparel, fashion, or merch business
• Experience working with creative directors, visual designers, and manufacturers to create new products
• High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment start-up like environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
• Ability to think and lead in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with ''hands-on'' management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Ability to own, manage and speak to a P&L
