The Amazon Music team is looking for a talented, passionate, expert Creative Program Manager with a track record of delivery, ownership and process improvement to help us manage and deliver production pipelines and operationalize processes for Amazon Music Merch across marketing, product imaging, and editorial work streams. This Sr. Creative Program Manager will deliver on campaign level creative initiatives, artist merch photography, on-site branding and experience, style guides, merch design, and unlock efficiencies across processes. The role will be responsible for managing project intake, resource/capacity management, contracts, scheduling and delivery in regards to the regular production workflow and internal/external creative/production resources. They will be a definer of how the Amazon Music Merchandise drives its key messages, ideas, and relationship with customers across the marketplace.
The Amazon Music Merch team is responsible for building a destination of official music merchandise and connecting fans and artists through merch. This Creative PM will report within the Amazon Music Merchandising team and will work closely with marketing managers, the Amazon Music Creative Studio, the Softlines Imaging Network, and external agencies to manage creative needs and direction for all music merch creative-across marketing channels, on-site experience, and select merch designs.
We're growing quickly and hiring the best; this is day one. This Sr. Creative Program Manager will need to be adept at both managing campaigns and building mechanisms, connecting stakeholders on very specific creative outputs, while also creating and maintaining big mechanisms to remove the roadblocks to delivery of content. In order to build these mechanisms, they will work across internal partners and external vendor resources, leveraging both process and technology to achieve our goals. They will oversee the workflow of high volumes of products between teams and pipelines. The opportunity is to land all the briefs in the best way for each of our unique global music customers.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts to support the music merch category across creative, marketing, engineering, and programming verticals.
• Create briefs and continuously improve the briefing process - collect business and systems requirements from internal customers, write project plans, and drive project schedules.
• Plan, manage, and oversee pipeline of production between the creative studio, imaging network, and marketing teams
• Work with content creators, customer strategy owners, and content infrastructure teams to define and streamline processes upstream
• Clearly communicate roadmaps, progress, risks and change control to senior management and internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
• Responsible for developing framework for pinnacle merch initiatives
• Create a roadmap for critical merch projects in partnership with artist and label relations to align with upcoming releases and music initiatives
Qualifications
• Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• 5 years experience in program or project management or 3 years of experience with an MBA
• Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
• 5 years experience delivering cross functional projects or 3 years of experience with an MBA
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• Experience defining and executing against program requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience working at or with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service, or studio
• Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
• 3 years of creative services experience
• 5 years of experience as a producer, program manager or similar role with interactive/ad agencies, design studios, production or Internet companies
• Demonstrated experience with in-house or third-party project management and/or ticketing systems
• Strong problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to work on different projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
• Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from creative stakeholders
• Self-starter that can operate efficiently within ambiguous situations
• Microsoft excel skills
