Amazon Music is growing fast, with Prime Music, Free-Tier, Amazon Music Unlimited, and Podcasts! We are looking for a talented Engineering Manager to join our Podcast team.
You will be responsible for leading the effort to invent and build many new solutions that solve variety of customer facing problems in the podcast space. You'll do this by bringing your own passion for podcasts and obsessing over making our service more useful to customers. You'll also bring your genius architectural chops to drive engineering improvements.
Podcasts have been around for awhile, but there is a ton of untapped potential to create a top tier customer experience to help new customers discover compelling content, as well as improving the experience for expert-level users. You will be part of a team focusing on several customer facing challenges, such as creating a best of breed Alexa experience for podcasts, building the best models for searching and discovering podcasts, and helping to personalize the podcast experience for our customers. You should feel comfortable working in across different architectural areas such as building scalable services, using data science to understand our customers behavior, working with applied scientists to build and integrate ML-models into customer experiences, and delivering customer facing CX components (via Alexa and visual applications).
As a software development manager you will be responsible for insuring your team delivers valuable results for our customers. You will also be responsible for hiring and growing team members. We fervently believe that the best podcast customer experience has yet to be created. Come help us build it!

Qualifications
• 7 years of relevant engineering experience
• 3 years of people management experience, managing engineers
• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
• Strong experience in highly available low latency distributed systems
• Excellence verbal and written communication skills
• Strong track record launching and operating high impact customer features
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
